At Lincoln Northwest High School, the performing arts play a vital role in our school community. From choir to theatre to orchestra, our talented and dedicated students and faculty are committed to delivering outstanding performances that showcase their skills and passion for the arts. As a new school, we are proud to have established the Lincoln Northwest Performing Art Boosters, an organization that provides essential support to these performing arts groups.
In our first year, we have already accomplished so much, but there is still much to be done. Our organization helps plan important events and provides necessary volunteers to ensure those events are successful. In addition, we provide financial support to the performing arts groups, as the LPS budget does not cover many of the expenses required to deliver high-quality performances. Our performing arts faculty will rely on our organization to ensure they are able to provide the best possible experiences for our amazing student performers.
As we move forward, fundraising will be a significant focus for our organization. Starting from scratch as a new organization with nothing in the bank means we have a lot to build financially as well. We need your support to ensure that our performing arts groups can continue to deliver outstanding performances and provide valuable experiences for our students.
At our next meeting, on May 8th at 7:00 pm, we will be discussing many of these things and beginning to make plans for the future. We need your input and we need volunteers to help us tackle this growing to-do list. Please plan to attend and join us in supporting the arts at Lincoln Northwest High School.
In addition to our ongoing efforts to support the performing arts, we are also looking to elect a new treasurer. While the majority of the current board agreed to serve an extended term of two years in order to get us going, we will need to elect another treasurer. If you are interested in serving in this position, please email Charles Hamilton to submit your name for this position.
As a community, we must come together to support our performing arts groups and ensure that they continue to thrive at Lincoln Northwest High School. By supporting the Lincoln Northwest Performing Art Boosters, you are making a valuable investment in the future of our students and our school.
