2026 Capital City Classic

Volunteers

Thank you for your willingness to assist with the first ever Capital City Classic, a show choir competition at Lincoln Northwest High School! This event is a fundraiser for the Performing Arts of LNW, including Choir, Band, Orchestra, and Theatre.

Show choirs from multiple states will be showcasing their talent on our stage! A lot of volunteers are needed to make this event work. Throughout the day, show choirs will be performing for a set of judges. The top groups will perform again in an evening show. There will be lunch and dinner items available for sale as well as concession items, merchandise, shout-outs to groups, and huge shiny awards!

Below you will find Sign-Up Genius links for the various things we need assistance with. We have hundreds of hours to fill, so please consider volunteering for as many hours as you possibly can that day.

Cafeteria Crew
JOIN THE CAFETERIA CREW
We have around 1000-1200 meals to serve to students, teachers, and supporters on this day. We need help organizing and putting out food, wiping down tables, and cashiering.

Admission Sales Crew
JOIN THE ADMISSIONS CREW
This role is responsible for selling admission for the hundreds of guests who will attend. This is an ADULT ONLY role.

Merchandise & Candygram Crew
JOIN THE MERCHANDISE CREW
This role will be responsible for selling CCC merchandise and candygrams.

Homeroom & Outside Door #1 Crew
JOIN THE HOMEROOM CREW
These roles are responsible for ensuring that students and directors get where they need to go, being available to answer questions, ensuring the environment remains safe, and ensuring that our school is well cared for.

Backstage Crew
JOIN THE BACKSTAGE CREW
The backstage crew is responsible for helping competing schools get to the stage, helping to keep the stage and backstage clean, and other duties related to the backstage and stage area.

Auditorium Doors Monitor Crew
JOIN THE AUDITORIUM CREW
These roles are available both inside and outside the auditorium doors and are responsible for ensuring that nobody enters during performances and ensuring that food and drinks don't enter out beautiful auditorium.

Judges/Hospitality Crew
JOIN THE HOSPITALITY CREW
These roles help us to ensure that our judges, directors, and other competing school staff are well cared for during the day.
